GB
Is there a upgrade package with only the required files? A small zip containing only the files that have been changed could solve most problems.

deborahjb
We have decided to stop using PS for clients as upgrading has been hell. Our client has asked us to do so many modifications over the years, we have to redo them all with every upgrade and is becoming too expensive for them and sometimes we end up losing money for doing free work. This is insane. We cannot us PS until it has an easy upgrade tool like Wordpress does.Bye, bye PS!!

Yes, i can feel the pain. However, most presta users do not have shops with heavily modified core files. So, uploading new release package, extracting on the server, importing config, importing db and image folders wouldn't take more than 15 minutes. MrBaseball34
Have you guys ever seen how PHPBB does their upgrades and module installs? It uses a package called AutoMOD. It has an XML format config file that shows all the changesand how to make them.Man, I wish the PS folks would get their Frenchie heads out of their butts and go with somethinglike this.
