Modules and Services not working!

I clicked on install with the Stripe payment module to install it.

Then I got the error message, "[PrestaShop] Fatal error in module file :/var/sites/u/domainname.co.uk/public_html/modules/stripe_official/stripe_official.php:syntax error, unexpected T_STRING"

 

Now I cannot even get into, "Modules and Services" without this error coming up.

 

Any ideas?

Delete the /var/sites/u/domainname.co.uk/public_html/modules/stripe_official directory to access the Modules and Services page. The files will be deleted, but this is the only way how to fix it.

 

You should check compatibility of this module with your PrestaShop as well as PHP version.

Thanks.  I did that already and after it did indeed let me enter the Modules & Services page.  I tried downloading the appropriate version from Strip directly and pasting it into the same folder but I still got the same message.(not sure if that was the right way to do it).  I contacted my hosting co. about the PHP version and they said it was OK.

 

I messaged Stripe directly and will see what they say.   Big thanks for replying though.
