Aeggil
Hey Guys, I've been having some trouble with various modules not working correctly for a while now and have been unable to work out why....I had wondered if it was my theme... I created a fresh install and uploaded my theme and the problematic modules and all worked fine! So I imported my MySQL database backup and they started misbehaving again So, I guess the issue is with my database. I don't want to start over again with over 3,000 customers and orders and 500 products. Is there a way/module that I can use to export just my complete customer, orders, categories & products ready to import into a fresh install? I did have a search on the modules website, but have come up empty I have tried the export option on the product list page, etc but it doesn't seem to export all the information Alternatively, is there a module that can search the database and find what might be causing the issue? I downloaded Prestaspeed and ran it, but no change. Any help would be appreciated....either suggestions for modules, tip on where to look to find the error and fix it, etc Thanks, Russ
musicmaster
Try my copy_shopdata script. It was made for situations like this. It copies the business data but leaves all other tables (menu related, module related, rights related, etc) untouched. https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/445453-copy-shopdata-script-for-copying-shop-content-for-upgrade/
Aeggil
Thanks a lot for that, I will look into it! For the time being I have managed to get my original site mostly working again after 2 days of reinstalls/backups/etc...however, I've had to disable some modules and I daren't add any more.... I was thinking I might migrate to another platform, but I do like Prestashop and I've spent quite a bit on modules already, so this might be a lifeline. I'm going to take a break for a few days but may well try this out next week. Thanks again, Russ
