Problem with installation: an error has occured at 0%

Hello,

I tried to install Version 1.7.1.2, but directly after calling the index.php I get the pre-start-screen (the one with the image of the bird) and I only see: an error has occured. 

In my directory www.blabla.de/shop I have the 3 files: index.php, prestashop_1.7.1.2.zip and the install_prestashop.html

 

The domain is running on a STRATO server, of course with php and I created a new empty database.

 

It is not my first experience with a database.
Normaly the next step should be something like a window to enter database details - but nothing.

 

Where is my mistake?

You must unzip file "prestashop_1.7.1.2.zip" for it work.

Found the same out tonight. And a lot of changes in php.ini.

Hi stobi_de, thank you for this. This replaces the desktop.ini file info? If not, where does it go?

It goes to to root-directory of your webspace.
