wildchief
Hello,I send my orders generally by First Class recored mail.At present when a customer buys multiple items in an order, if the combined value of the items is more than the Royal Mail's compensation of £39 we send the order in separate consignments, each insured for £39.I have set up a carrier for royal mail which works out the price by weight. This is fine if the customer only orders one item. What i am finding is that that the combined items weight do not add enough postage to cover the cost of sending the two items seperately.I could consider using Special Delivery but this has its' own problems. We work in a very competitive business and do not want to have to automatically charge customers Special Delivery prices. Also, some of our items are not suitable for sending together in the same package.Does anyone know how to send multiple item orders in separate consignments.Thank you
chichipets
I can't answer your question but thought you should know that the Royal Mail will insure up to £41 for 1st or 2nd class now, was £39 before
