How do you add a blank line in 'categories' in v 1.7.1.1

I know that this is applicable to other versions.

 

When in the 'category' text update box, there is no pulldown or button to add a blank line.

 

I have tried using <p></p> and <p> </p> and <br></br> and <br> </br>

 

The only thing that works is <br>a</br> which obviously displays an 'a' on the screen.

 

But prestashop changes it to <p>a</p>

 

The other way is to add text then colour it white (or whatever the background is)

 

Any other workarounds plz.
