How to change selected country in drop down list?

Hi,

When a customer enters his/her address, I want the drop down list to have United States as the selected country since the majority of our customers are from the states.

 

I've set the default country in BO to Sweden, which is where we're located, so the selected country in the drop down list now says Sweden. I don't want to enable the "Set default country from browser language" in BO because I don't trust it.

I simply want the drop down list to always have United States selected from the beginning.

 

How can I achieve that? I can't change the default country in BO to something else because then the PayPal module won't work and will only say "Your country is not available..."

 

There must be somewhere, in some file where I can change the selected country, I just can't find it.

Can someone help please?
