Search mechanism - two search module in same time

Hi guys,

 

For the last few weeks I’ve been trying to build a module for a car parts shop which will be able to filter the cars based on manufacturer, model and other attributes like engine size, transmission type etc.

Is there any possibility to install two search modules and use both in same time for same categories? It is useful also Faceted Search default module and I want to use my module in combination with this.

Any ideas on how I can overcome this flux in Presta 1.7? Is there any possibility to install two search modules and use both in same time for same categories? 

I know that hookProductSearchProvider returns the first one encountered, but after first search I need to filter products by another criteria.

 

If I use hookFilterProductSearch, I get a broken pagination because I remove some products after first search.
