Black background in images on clean installation

Hello,

I have a clean installation of Prestashop with version 3.1, without themes or add-on modules.
When I insert a product image it fills with a black background instead of white background
I've tried everything but I can't find a solution
I have the following versions of PHP and MySQL on my hosting:

PHP 5.2.12 (cli)
mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.89, for pc-linux-gnu (i686) using readline 5.1

I already reviewed this post, but my code is correct.
As I've said is a clean installation

I have this line in images.inc.php
$white = imagecolorallocate($destImage, 255, 255, 255);

I'm going crazy

Hy. I have the same problem. Images.inc.php is ok but I'm still with BLACK BACKGROUND.

1.3.1. worked great for 4 months with WHITE background but last week without changing or uploading
new things but only new articles, it has been changed to BLACK.

I've checked also with my ISP but nothing has been changed on the configuration, Php MySQL etc..

I'm going crazy too, please help. thanks
