Hide Category in Prestashop 1.6

Hello friends!

 

I would like to know if there is any way to hide a category from either the side block and the start menu, but still be accessible. Just make it not visible, that the client can access if I give the url. Thank you for your help!

I'm thinking that maybe the best and safest way to do so would be by creating a Customer Group/Profile.

 

Go to Administration - Profiles

Create a new Profile for example "Special Category"

 

Back to the Catalog edit the category you want to "hide". Scroll down and where it says Group acess check only the Group you just created ("Special Category").

 

Then go to Customers and edit the customer you want to show the Category to again in "Group Access" check the "Special Category" too.

 

Then you can send your Customer the link. He'll be able to see the category in the category menu but not everyone.

It's a good solution, thanks! But i wanted that the customers don't have to be registered to see the category when I show to them. I supposed that maybe I have to touch code, but i'm not a programmer, maybe somebody can give some way to do that
