rocky
You have to create a database, a database user and link that database user to the database. Once you've done that, run the PrestaShop installer and enter the database and user details you created to link PrestaShop to the database. If your server doesn't already have a php.ini file, you'll need to create one yourself. You can search Google to find an existing php.ini file you can edit for your needs. Put one in the root of PrestaShop and one in the admin directory, so that it applies to both the Front Office and Back Office.

jdmorrisn
There is no php.ini file in the files on my web site/server, I have looked on google but there seem to be so many variations from hardly any lines of text to many many lines of text - how do I know which one is correct?
