Catalog suddenly won't display all items - only disabled ones

for some reason, suddenly, PS Catalogue in back office won't return all over 2600 of my products.  It will only show me 293 products, all of which I have disabled for one reason or another.  Regardless of what filter I use (yes, no, -), it will not return all my items.  If I request all items marked "yes" it returns NO ITEMS.

 

However, the web site appears to be all there and working just fine, so the products are still there, just not being reported when I try to work in the Products portion of Catalogue.

 

Using PS 1.6.1.13    Is there some way to easily repair whatever file it is that is causing this error?  I do not know HTML.

Oh, and don't know if it is a clue, but my add-on SEO updater doesn't seem to be working either - never had a problem with it before.

 

Add'l info:  This problem is in Firefox.  When I open PS in Chrome, all items are there.  However, it appears my SEO Manager will no longer update metadata as evidenced by new items not getting updated when I manually run SEO Manager.

no help from the forum on this?  Well, for some reason, it started working in Firefox.  I'd been relegated to using PS in Chrome.  But now it seems to be working in Firefox - no reason...
