[SOLVED] Modifying two buisness roles completely

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've just started work on integrating prestashop with the rest of my website, and came across two business roles that are not really applicable to my business since it is a download store, which is manufacturer and suppliers, but would be useful to modify those two sections of administration for two other roles. I want to replace manufacturer with the role name "developer" and the supplier with "publisher", and I have a few ideas where to start but dunno if it will work.

Can anyone advise me which sections I need to modify to make the name of these roles change, or what I should do with modifying the database?

Just go to Tools > Translations, select Front Office translations in the dropdown, click the USA flag, then search for every field that says "manufacturer" and rewrite it with "developer". Do the same for "publisher". If you want to change the text in the Back Office too, you'll need to select "Back Office translations" in the dropdown and click the USA flag, then do the same steps as before.

oh I thought all translations I needed were in the front office, but looked at module translations edited a few of them, and now everything is the way I want it thanks.

I'll change title to add [solved], thanks again rocky.

Tku very much, in the process of translating all.Kindly assist in informing if this module ( jgalleryview slideshow module) is compatible with the prestashop 1.3.6 which I am using if yes, where can upload these files to: "assets;slides;preview.jpg;en.php;fr.php;jgalleryview.php;jgalleryview.tpl"; all contained in the folder jgalleryview.zip? what files or folder should I replace them with in my server. I want to put a slideshow of some products in the home_logo.jpg spot. Check www.savinda-clothing-online.com (in the smaller banner spot) pls advise
