Change status depending selected carrier

Hi guys,

I'm trying to figure out how to set a specific status depending on what carrier has been selected.

I've found this topic:

but there, the explanation is about to set the status depending the payment, and what I want, is depending the carrier.

If the customer has selected Carrier A, set the status A.
