[SOLVED] The shop is SLOW

It's been 4 months since I moved to PS and according to GA (I used the compare to past option), all the main characteristics have gone down:

Visits -17.02%
Pageviews -54.18%
Pages/Visit -44.77%
Bounce Rate +32.43%
Avg. Time on Site -16.37%

The primary reason for going to PS was its SEO and indeed my positions in search engines have improved significally which should bring more visitors.

Pageviews has suffered the most and the only thing that comes to mind is that the shop is slow, that would explain the pageviews-54% - shop is slow and visitors lose patience. That could go for bounce also- visitor comes to the site, thinks 'oh, not that slow shop again! and leaves.

I checked out some other shops running on PS at the showcase section and the 6 1st shops load all within 1-2 seconds while mine takes 4-6 s to load. Also some shops of those had the pagespeed rank lower than mine, about 70 compared to my 82. I used Rocky's tips and the pagespeed suggestions, improving the rank from 60 to 82 but nothing. Could it be my hosting provider? It's clearly not PS as other shops I checked had absolutely fine speed. But what is it?

I would like you all to have look at my site and tell me what is wrong there and causing the slow loading time. Thank you!

try to enable the cache of your shop, and remove modules that uses flash, and advertisig like adsense.

Google take time to index your new site, so you need to wait to recognize the new site

I did put the mod_expires and mod_headers in .htaccess as the other post says but this seems to have no effect, my hosting says this should be done via php. How to do his?

open in config directory the smarty.config.inc.php,

and try enablig these options:

$smarty->caching = false;
$smarty->force_compile = false;

That doesn't do much, google pagespeed still says the images, js css etc not being cached.

check with google chrome and the debuger what file is taken too time to load

It's my home page, www.nordoutlet.com: 7.48s latency, 129ms to load. Now I have no idea what to do since it's not exactly a file.

It is my hosting. I asked from another company to set up a temporary account and uploaded all my stuff in there. The database is almost twice quicker so I am going to move to another hosting. Solved!

I am in Estonia, I am not using any major worldwide hosting co but going to a local one called zone.ee.

I confirm now that changing the host 2 weeks ago has its first results:

Pageviews (+45.90%)
Pages/Visit (+30.05%)
Avg. Time on Site (-13.52%)

So visitors saw more pages which took less time. Perfomance is really important matter.
