limitations of the multi store?

Hello prestshop community,

 

Let me get right to the question:

 

The multistore functionality. does it allow each store to have its own customers, products, and orders?

if so, how do you work with multistore?

 

I have created a multistore in the backoffice but it asks for a URL, even though i want my client to get tot the same page each time (but having their own store products), how do i implement that?

 

And each store will be able to choose which products he will be able to add to his store.

 

I just need some advice on the whole multistore part.

 

Intermediate developper but starting out with prestashop.

PrestaShop does provide multiple store function. But what it seems that you are looking for marketplace solutions.

If that is the case, you may consider to use our multiple seller module and multiple shop module to implement your marketplace requirements

but i am not looking to buy any modules, im a developper and needed more info on the possibility of implementing my idea in prestashop (even if i have to slightly modifie it).

 

i do have another question that you might be able to awnser though.

is there a limit in to the numer of groups i can create in prestashop? and is there a limit in the amount suppliers a product can be associated to?

Technically, there is not a limitation on the number of groups(customer group) or number of suppliers.
