I added a subject, translated it, I downloaded the file,

I want to re-upload the file, install a translation model

How do I update this new site, without starting to translate again.

All the translated files in your store are stored at following path:

 

/translations/ISO_CODE/

and

/themes/YOUR_THEME/modules/MODULE_NAME/translations/

 

You should take a backup of these files and then move them to your new store and see if it works.
