George T
Hello, Many community members and gurus have mentioned that we (merchants) should refrain from using earlier 1.7 versions since there are much work that needs to take place to make it market-ready. My question is... Is it time to move from v1.6.x to v1.7.1.1???? Please answer why you responded the way you did. Thank you for your help.
SLiCK_303
I don't know about other places, but it certainly isn't U.S. ready. There are no shipping modules, ie. UPS, USPS, FedEx. There also is no official Paypal module. With those two things, 1.7.x is useless to me.
gabdara
Module compatibility is lacking for sure, but there is an official PayPal module from version 1.7.1.
Guest
It is not about Paypal only, this version is designed to be a transition version between 1.6 and 1.8 So to be clear : DO you want to be a beta tester or a marchant using a stable and working tool ?... if you feel like e-commerce is a lab to test hybrid technologies then go for 1.7 NOW ! Malemi
It seems PrestaShop 1.7 is absolutely bad for SEO That is because each product variant generates a product URL ! Same product = tons of URLs !! https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/554789-how-to-remove-id-product-attribute-from-product-links/ http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/BOOM-2804 In PS team opinion that is not a bug: http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/BOOM-2737 Cannot believe this being real
