GW.
Hi guys!I have a problem with my prestashop website.I was building a webshop on a test domain and planned to move it, if ready, to my main domain.I left my website one day without any issues but the next time i wanted to visit it, it wasn't possible to open it at all. Neither frontend nor backend. I thought that I made a mistake in my php files because of modules, themes and so on and tried to empty cache or repair permissions. Nothing worked for me. So I did backups and saved my database and wanted to install a new prestashop but this didn't work either. I have no clue what caused the sudden crash of my website.I contacted the support of my hosting provider, which is A2 Hosting (one of your recommended hosting providers) but they still were not able to get it running. The shop is causing high CPU peaks and the site does not load and is at 100% CPU all the time. The server works with other simple php files so it's not down or so.That was the message I received from the support team:"While I have installed prestashop in your account ( details as requested ) , it would appear that this is going to cause some issues with your resource usage, as this is continually pinging the server at 100% cpu usage... Unfortunately, we're really unable to provide any one on one support for prestashop itself, you'll want to reach out to their developers and see what is causing such a massive usage spike."Would be great if there's a solution to this, because running into problems all the time isn't fun and costs so much time. Thanks in advance for everybody trying to help.Greetings
musicmaster
Can be anything. Most likely some simple mistake. Unfortunately that kind of errors is difficult to find. I found your description confusing. This sentence is contradicting itself: " The shop is causing high CPU peaks and the site does not load and is at 100% CPU all the time." If you are at 100% all the time there are no peaks. Edited April 26, 2017 by musicmaster (see edit history)

GW.
Thanks for your responses! The problem could be solved by changing the PHP version of the server.I was using 7.1 and obviously this caused some problems. After downgrading to PHP 5.6 everything worked great again. If someone runs into the same problem, I would recommend to check this first. Thanks
