MockoB
Are you trying to view them on iPad or other high density screen device? If you are, forget about it with Prestashop! I visited your site with iPad and it definitely could be better. Guess what, there is actually option to generate such images in the back office but I am pretty sure even PS developers don't know what the option is for ... Abs.Akbar
MockoB can you tell me how to resolve it from the backend>?
Abs.Akbar
I can't believe PrestaShop has this issue and there is no way to resolve it. The Images are clearly not sharp/clear enough when comparing to other platform sites. please can anyone help with this issue.
musicmaster
As your images are rather responsive you could try to have them in a higher resolution. The other solution is ImageMagick/imagick. That is an alternative graphics library to the GD that is default with PHP and that gives considerably better images.. There used to be a free module for it but that is no longer available. However, you can use Prestools to re-resize your images with Imagick. Many hosting providers have Imagick installed. If it isn't you will have quite a job installing it on your server first. MockoB
He could use imagick and it would bring better color performance for sure but that doesn't solve the issue with blurry images on high density screens! Almost every smart phone, tablet and recent desktop displays are such. And gues what, PS has the option in back end where you can choose to generate appropriate images for those devices! Very good news if the images were used for their purpose instead just take additional space on the server! And yes, on every decent platform this feature is working but not in PS. It is a huuuuge drawback and nobody from the developers seem to care. You could hire a developer to implement retina images in your theme, like this https://imulus.github.io/retinajs/ If you find one and he succeeds, please inform the community! Good luck!
