Order Validation /Dashboard stats

I've just noticed that the dashboard stats of orders has not updated for a few days.

I suspect that orders are not being automatically validated.

Can anyone point me at where i can check on the order validation status, how I can manually validate orders and why this might be occuring please.

 

version is 1.6.1.11

no new modules installed.

orders are synced from ebay and paid for via paypal.

Ok for anyone interested Its not that orders are not validating.

I've turned off invoices and the the dashboard works on invoice date.
