upgrade from 1.5 to 1.6

I upgraded from 1.5.6.1 to 1.6.1.12 on my test-site .

When I open this test set (test.italiaansewijnkopen.be) I get following message (see attachment)

What does this mean and how to rectify?

 

I use PHP 5.3.29 . Will this version of PHP remain valid for PS 1.5 or must I ask the host-provider to upgrade to 5.4 or even PHP 7.

PrestaShop 1.6 has "default-bootstrap" as its default theme. PrestaShop 1.5 "default" one.

 

There is no need to upgrade PHP version, but I suggest to do it - to 5.6, not 7.0.

The best way to upgrade your PS, is to use module MigrationPro Prestashop to Prestashop it takes you a few minutes and the most important reason to use it. There is no any chance to lose some data.

Looks like you are trying to use your old theme on the new store.  You likely did not configure the autoupgrade module properly to use the new theme.

 

I would suggest using PHP 7.0.19, it is far superior to previous versions.

I considered the advantages and disadvantages of upgrading to another version of PS and concluded , together with the site-owner (I just the  "site-maintenaner") to stay with this version for now .
