User not found

I have done everything correctly, deleted the install folder and renamed the admin folder.

When I try to login it ust keeps telling me user not found...

Check if login page have renamed admin folder name in URL.
Also you could check or change user name and password directly in database, table ps_employee.

Yes the correct admin was in the url....


I am currently re-installing, if it doesn't work again i will check/change in the database.

I am sure I will be back for updates though.

What php version do you have ?

* Some PHP 5 versions are bugged and prevent PrestaShop from working correctly:

* - PHP 5.2.1 (authentication is impossible)
* - PHP 5.2.6 (authentication is impossible under 64bits servers)
* - PHP 5.2.9 (image management/upload broken)
* - PHP < 5.2 (invalid date timezone)

Double check email you use to login.
Then try to change password.
Edit record in ps_employee , i am guessing there is only one, and in password row select MD5 in function column and enter new password like in screen-shot and click GO.
Adding new employee is similar just click on insert and set id_employee to 2.And set password same way.

Hi!

i did that....

and it stil didn't work...so i clicked on forgot password, it said it was sending me an email with new password, i am still waiting for it it has been about an hour

And what is your hosting company ?

This is insane. i went into the database, foudn the password that it had reset to and it STILL didn't work. Going to try the links

Going to try the second one first, where I have to uninstall then reinstall without the logo...

with the link to the first one, how do i use that script? just run it as php in the database admin panel. then it says to delete the script...how do i do that...

Just FTP it up to your secret admin-folder. -Run it. -then Delete it..

Sample: h_t_t_p://yoursite.com/my_top_secret_adminxxxxfolder/newadmin.php

That should be it.

Remember this is just a script to insert a admin-account into your existing databasetable, nothing more..

Just tried re-installing and now it said The database selection cannot be made. Wont' even let me add database or anything...ust a blank screen with The database selection cannot be made.

What were your steps when re-installing ?
Deleted all files from server and database and re-uploaded again with new database created ?

That's correct. I deleted all the files, deleted the database, and started fresh. Doing it yet again now
