Choose instead of Default Product Colour or Size

I am disappointed to see that version 1.7 is still using the default product attribute combination on the product page and has not got an option for Please Choose that we can use, like many other shopping carts have.

It means that if the user does not see the colour or size choice they can order the wrong one and have to be refunded.

Is there any way to have a Please Choose option that can be used to force the user to make a choice?

@breda_Mcg, Yes you're right!
It's incredible that a so basic feature is not allowed in Prestashop.
It can avoids a lot of orders return, many users add to cart without think about size before.
