Email to customers only in english

Hello we got a shop that is in 2 different languages English and Bulgarian.

We've added a translation of the emails in the email templates but our Bulgarian customers are still getting english emails.
Is there some setting that I am forgetting?

It seems your customers order from front-end with english language.

No they select bulgarian as language at the top (actually this is default)

Also the steps in ordering process are also in English.

Hi, are you sure you have a translation in place for your language. And the translation is saved in the right theme? If you have a custom theme installed, the translation needs to be done in that theme and not under default.

There are 2 things to notice here:
- Your customer forgot to choose languge they want

 I'm working with the default theme of prestashop.
The customer can choose bulgarian or english on top of the menu bar.
The rest of the site changes language as normal.

Under Localisation - Languages I got Bulgarian installed
Under Localisation - Translations I checked the mails and they are translated there.

It also says Enabled languages: 2

Well if you go onto your webserver -> publlic_html -> mails you should see a folder called "en" and your language. if you open that folder you should see all email templates. If you open one of the templates you can see if the translation was done correctly.

 

The second question is: In the Backoffice in Status you can actually see which email template is used. The email template in use might have not been translated to your language which means...you might have bulgarian installed but the template behind is the english one.

 

I have used prestashop v.1.6.1.6 in the past and did not experience any email issue.

Hi thanks for taking the time to help out.

I checked the mails folder and I got 2 folders EN and BG. Inside the BG folder are html files and text files.. all of these are in bulgarian.

when I go to orders - statuses and then click on any of the statuses they all have translations.
