Prestashop 1.7 add to cart does not work

Hi,

 

I have setup a new site using prestashop 1.7.0.6 stable. I have enabled Friendly URL's and Accented URLS and I have entered products and categories.

 

I cannot under any circumstances add ANY product to the cart.  I press Buy and the page refreshes to the cart page but it is always empty.  I tried with maintenance mode on or off, firendly urls on or off, different browsers, i added quantities to the products stil nothing.

 

Can anyone please help.  This is my first venture to 1.7 and it looks as if it was a REALLY BAD choice.
