I have been having trouble for the past couple of days with my website http://bhfashionco.com/

First I had trouble with links to my products. I did the .htaccess fix found on this page and it worked.
http://prestashop-godaddy.blogspot.com/2009/02/how-to-get-prestashop-friendly-url-url.html

However, i am still having problems with some pages on my site (contact us, account, cart, etc.) that do not load and dont know what to do.

Am I supposed to add a ReWriteRule for each page that doesnt work?

Am I supposed to upload a new robots.txt file?

The ones i looked at works fine.

Robots.txt has nothing to do with "human" access to the site.

sinc i have no clue what is in you .htaccess file i cant not comment on that part ;) Dont know much about it anyway, but normaly it has no effect on that.

Hi

What seemed to be the solution here? I am experiencing the same issue on our site with some buttons on the page (e.g. the one for the cart). It seems like a bug in Prestashop to me because when I click the cart button the first thing when I enter our site, it works. However if I first select e.g. a category or a product, the URL is wrong.

The URLs look like this:

When clicking on cart first thing: http://sisterunika.dk/shop/order.php
When clicking on an item and then clicking on the cart: http://sisterunika.dk/shop/guld-smykker/order.php?step=1

So it's like it's adding the category in the URL.

The last URL generates a 404 error.

I have generated a robots.txt file and the .htaccess file using the automatic generation found in Prestashop.

How do I fix this?

Thanks.

P.S. The site is down for maintenance at the moment as it officially goes online within a week or so.

Hi, the problem ended up being with the SSL. I had the settings as "on" when I didnt even have SSL enabled from my hosting company. I turned it off and it started working again. Then I enabled SSL with my hosting company and turned it back on, works fine now.

Hi thank you for prompt reply.

Does this mean that https must be used when friendly url is enabled in the settings?

The problem I face is that when I click on the cart the first thing when entering the site, it works fine but if I click on an item and then on the cart, I get an error. The problem is, that it looks for order.php in the category URL instead of in the root of the site.

Thanks.

I would assume so. The problem I had was with pages that needed https. The other pages worked fine. I think you should try turning off the ssl setting in the back office if you dont have it enabled with your hosting company and try testing it again.
