Ian1
I had a question on vat which was kindly answered by Chris. This lead me to customers, then carts in the back office. I have over 6000 in a list of various dates and products, not having received any orders from the site yet I am curious as to the meaning of this? Obviously but unlikely I am worried that I missed out on 6000 orders. Can anyone tell me what this carts information relates to?RegardsIan
rocky
Basically, every time someone adds something to their cart, a new cart is created, whether or not they actually complete an order. Whenever the customer's cookie expires or is deleted, the next time they add something to the cart, another cart will be created. Also, search engines will generate carts when they are crawling your site. So what happens is that you end up with many carts recorded on your site, but not nearly as many orders recorded. Ian1
Thank you Rocky.Looks like the search engines are working overtime, roll on orders.Looking at your site you have module additions one of which shows two prices non vat and vat included, can the latest prestoshop be adapted to show both prices? I am looking into uk law on this, as here and the markets I am aiming for must have vat included for domestic customers but trade customers always judge price excluding vat. rocky
You'd need to modify all the TPL files that display prices and take out the if statements that decide whether to display with tax or without so that both are displayed.
