Search not working properly if search word is only number.

Hi.

I just found out that if the search word contains only numbers, no search result found.

 

If the search strings contains even 1 letter, it works as it should.

 

For example. I have these words in my description.

 

956435

34565v

 

If I search 956435, nothings found, but I can search 34565v perfectly.

 

How can I change it so that only numbers string can be searchable as well?

So some checks

 

Prefernces > Search > Rebuild entire index

then try  search again

 

 

Prefernces > Search > have a look at the weightings and perhaps increase the product description (Then rebuild index)

 

What version of prestashop. There were some issues with the latest 1.6 release so I rolled back to an earlier search system

I've tried so many times rebuilding the index and changing the weights but no luck.

I'm using 1.6.1.11.

Do you mean to replace a search.php with the previous version one? 1.6.1.10?

Don.t assume it is the same core problem, or that it was not fixed and then broken again

 

All I can say is that when I updated to 1.6.1.11 search broke. I replaced search php with the previos version and it worked again.

 

All you can do is try it. It if works, great. If it does not, keep looking for an answer

Sorted.

 

It was simply not indexed properly. I just changed my description's structure and it's all ok now.
