Parent category does not exist

Hello. We seem to have messed some things up. We imported a category file, it gave some error, did not give it much importance...... but now when we want to add products via csv, it allways gives this error;  Parent category does not exist 

 

I read the whole forum on this... nothing works......

I tried looking up a methog to reset the category tree.... but i do not see how.

Any way we could fix this without doing a clean install ? That would be great.

A clean install on a allready runing website would be catastrophic. Especially in our case.

Any way we could remap a category to be ,, parent '' ?

Also, something is very wrong, since i can see the home category when i press the category button. Adding screenshot.

When it was working properly i could only see the categories that were in home, not the actual home category.

Hi, so you're trying to load products with a .csv File but the parent category does not exist? Why not just create it?
