Upgrade from 1.6.x to 1.7.x

Has anyone done an upgrade from 1..6.x to 1.7.x and can tell me in step what to do ?

I am concerned about the database migration.

 

Or.....point me to an url which describe what to do

we did it internally but did not .doc for publication.  I  advise waiting for 1.7.1 release at which time as I understand it you can autoupgrade.  

 

There is much more to upgrade than just native code, you existing 3rd party modules may not be compliant and certainly not 3rd party theme.
