But I am worry about issues which can happend after update. Does any1 have experience with updating from that old version ? And it would be great if some1 can suggest me the best way to upgrade my PS store. ( Some way with abillity to rollback everything if something dont work properly or something can not be fixed ) Many thanks,Nikola
El Patron
Start with building a running copy of your existing shop. There you can run upgrade tests. This is most important bit. Learn more from PrestaShop doc on updating your shop here.

I can not build live version of PS 1.6.0.9. because my server provider give me only to choice between PS 1.6.1.11 and PS 1.7.x.x version... You will copy your production shop and crate a development copy in which you can then try the 'autoupgrade' module.

I have understud you that you said to me that I should create copy of my running shop , and to run it on other domain, and then to try to upgrade. But you have told me just to create "beckup" of my running shop. ( Website and database ) And then to try to upgrade. So if something go wrong, I can simply restore my website and database from beckup ? I have backup of my site ( around 5 gb ). Also, I have restore button which one I have tested and it works just fine ( screenshoot: http://prntscr.com/em84w1 )
El Patron
you can use a subdomain as well rather than domain but it's useful to build dev copy in root or folder like production shop. Then when you have dev copy sorted/running.....there you can see how upgrade process will work for you.....most often if it goes well, you can then create a hidden copy of your production shop and just copy new upgrade files/db to old shop..... any particular reason you are upgrading? is there feature/fix in later PS that you are after? Donnerberg
Many thanks for help Patron. There is absolutely no reason for update, except one. Security. Everything else works just fine. But I wish to keep site "up to date" because future stability. Also, after succesfully PS version upgrade, I am planning to upgrade PHP version of server. Best regards,Nikola
