Discount by price of products from specific category

Hi guys, 

 

I try to set a discount on my website and I can't figure out the way to do it properly.

 

I want to set a discount for products from a category.

The discount will happen if the user has products from that category with minimum total of $$$.

 

As of now I found out how to set the discount for the category if the total price of the cart passed the minimum amount.

I need the minimum amount to be calculated only from the products in this certain category.

 

after about two hours of search I found nothing... maybe you'll have some inspiring input for me

I'm afraid it's not possible and you need a module.
