nicoX
Modules both native and 3-rd party which you don't intend to use, is it enough to just disable them, for them not to cause issues or slow down the site, or do I need to uninstall and delete them as well? BalzoT
I think having them disabled is enough. The only major impact I can think about is on the admin panel. When you go to the modules tab, if you have many modules, it might take much time to load the page and even crash. But there is no need to worry about that cause a refresh or too will work.
El Patron
If module is not being used, then I recommend uninstall. This is because most modules that use overrides do not check if their related module is 'disabled', so code in override executes. That is my tech reason to uninstall.
shokinro
Agreed with @El Patron, it is better to uninstall it so that it will uninstall related overrides. It will also unistall related HOOK that will affect performance. If it is for the purpose of increasing back office module tab performance (page loading), you will also need to delete it after uninstall. Since PrestaShop will check and load all modules on disk at back office Modules tab.

Pottie8
Hi All Please help - How do I unistall these "unused" moduels? I cant access modules and services as it gives me memory allocation failure, and I have set the php.ini to 64MB which is the max I am allowed. Site also relatively slow. Thanks! bellini13
perhaps you should consider finding a new host. 64mb is too low in this day and age
