Diemux
I updated from 1.2.0.8 to 1.3.1.1. Everything went okay, only during the install i got 3 SQL errors. My log is attached. What can I do to fix those errors? log.txt
rocky
It seems that your database had previously been partially upgraded. According to the errors, the ps_carrier_group table already existed when it shouldn't have, so it couldn't be created. You also have duplicate rows in your tables, specifically PS_THEME_V11 in ps_configuration, and rows in ps_carrier_group. You should restore a backup of your PrestaShop v1.2.0.8 installation, then remove the ps_carrier_group table and the duplicate PS_THEME_V11 in the ps_configuration table. rellik
remove the ps_carrier_group table . Made another attempt at an upgrade with my previously modified database and did the above and all seemed to go well but have no product images even though they show up in back office. rocky
Try going to Tools > Generators and regenerating your .htaccess file.
rellik
All seems happy now after numerous attempts. Deleting that table fixed all my DB problems and SQL errors. Now running 1.3.1.Thank you for your time and patience.

rellik
Spoke too soon. Went to ad a product and I do not have the toolbar there for description and old products only show up as HTML. Also existing products at the top the product name now shows "no name"
rocky
Someone really needs to write a module that checks whether the database matches the version number, removes duplicate rows, then automatically downloads PrestaShop onto the server and extracts it. It will probably be a big job though.
rellik
Why would the database cause this problem I had a similar problem before when I did a clean install. The toolbar is just not there in product description.
rocky
That's not a database issue. That's probably an error with uploading all the files in the /js/ directory. There are many files in that directory and its subdirectories. If some of the TinyMCE files don't upload correctly, then you'll get Javascript errors and the toolbar won't show. rellik
Thought this may be the case and uploaded the js directory again. I have a gut feeling it is to do with language as I recall on one of my early attempts with a clean install all was well until I setup my languages and deleted those not used.
