drsnyridic
Hi I have installed prestashop 1.7.0.2 and I would like to duplicate the default CLASSIC theme. According to many tutorials and also the HELP section this should work: BO / themes / add new theme / create new theme My problem is, that on the ADD NEW THEME page I can only see three import options (pc, web, ftp) - there is no CREATE NEW THEME option or BUTTON. I have also tried exporting the default theme and importing it. There were no options available when exporting the theme - I just clicked the button and that was it - succesful. Unfortunately I had no luck importing the theme. If I changed anything (i. e. just theme folder name) it said that the new theme was not compatible with PS. Not changing anything obviously is not a way. I have been googling and trying things for hours. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thank you P. S. - maybe installing some older version of PS would be the way? What version would be the best?
rocky
Here's how I do it (change classic2 to something more appropriate for your website): 1. Copy themes/classic to themes/classic2. 2. Edit themes/classic2/config/theme.yml and change the value of "name" to classic2. Now go to the Design > Themes tab and you should see "classic2" listed in the "Select a theme" section. Hover over it and then click the "Use this theme" button.
drsnyridic
Thank you for your advice. I have tried changing name in theme.yml but I was still getting the "not compatible with 1.7" message. Anyway I have installed 1.6.1.11 and so far everything seems to be working allright.
