Birthdate required in registration form

Hello everbody  ,

 

I moved from prestashop 1.6.x to 1.7.x and I tryed to set the birdthday as required in the registration form. Unfortunatly the method of 1.6.x doesn't work anymore.

the only thing who working partialy is setting 'birthday' in customer.php to required, but it gives an error 500 back because of missing validations.

 

Does anyone knows how to set validations and highlight in red of the birthdate field in registration form?

Go to: store parameters >> customer settings >> Ask for date of birth. Change to yes

That will not make birtdate as required I'm afraid. It will only show it on the registration form marked as optional. I would really appreciate if that option (making it required) is available. Stores that sell alcohol must have it.

same question here. The birthday field shows, but it is only optional. I want it to be mandatory as well.

Looks like the place to add it would be the CustomerForm.php located in classes\form.  This class appears to validate the email and first/last name, so date of birth validation could likely be added in a similar fashion

Hi bellini, that is slightly beyond our coding skills I'm afraid. It would be great if someone could create an override.
