cstolan
Greetings! My store (1.6) is not handling customer address changes correctly during the checkout process. If a customer (a) adds a new address or ( b ) updates an existing address during the checkout process, changes do not appear *even though* the system registers the change and will ship/bill to the correct address. This will be very confusing to customers who visit my store! Updates or additions of addresses are sometimes are visible when a customer navigates to another page and then back to the checkout process, but sometimes it requires a cache clear of the browser to show all address updates/additions. Any help in fixing this is very much appreciated; I have already tinkered with all of the "performance" settings in the back office, but to no apparent avail. Thank you! Beaniie
This would be somewhat of a dirty way around this issue but you could tweak the url direction of the form submit button to redirect/refresh the page. During which time you would need to trigger a recache. Being new to prestashop I'm not sure how you would put this in place other then editing the input within the acual .tpl for the addresses. But its food for thought however others may be able to help you put this in place.
cstolan
Hi @Beaniie, thank you so much for your response. This is definitely one way to go about it, though it is a bit of a super hack. I am hoping to solve this problem without such a hack, because it seems like others must encounter similar issues, as I have a basically out-of-the-box 1.6 install with core code that I haven't hacked at all. Any other thoughts are welcome -- this is an ongoing issue! Cheers, Claire
