mdr23
My shop has been under development. It has been placed on hold for various reasons. While in this state, I used cpanel to make it password-protected. And I have not accessed the site in a few months (boohoohoo... terrible me). Just recently I found that the (cpanel) password-protection had been disabled by an unauthorized visitor. I was able to get this corrected, but I was certainly not pleased by this discovery. A few things I observed in the visitor stats when it started: 4 entries at / (where the password prompt is) 2 exits from / 1 exit from themes/.../fonts/fontawesome-webfont.ttf 1 exit from themes/.../fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2 I think I am using Prestashop v 1.6.0 If anyone knows anything about this being a security hole, I'd appreciate hearing from you. vekia
these files cant grant access to server side things and cant be a breakpoint on your hosting account. They are like images, it is not possible to hack website with an image
mdr23
Thanks for responding Vekia! Well, it's puzzling to me nonetheless. Only one friend knows about my website. Otherwise it appears invisible to the world, so I thought.
