Voyager2
Hello Is there a way to have one backend to control multiple separate installations of prestashop? So the staff can see all order on one bakend without having to login to each one. And is there a way to use a shared inventory too? Customers should be separate for each shop. Thanks
NSN
Have you already checked out the multishop function of Prestashop? There you can use multiple stores with one backend and you can choose what should be shared and what not. E.g. Share stock but not customers, etc. The following video is for PS 1.5 but to get an idea it's still good. Here is the official Presta guide for Multishiop http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/Managing+Multiple+Shops But be aware that it might be sometimes a bit tricky or buggy. I used it some time but ended up in quitting as it was not so comfortable as I thought.
NemoPS
It's not, multistore is a shared backend for the same installation, so no, I don't think it's something you can do with prestashop, it needs to have the same database
