dalet62
Hi, We have recently noticed that our site has begun to run slower. It takes at least 5 seconds once you click on a link or product. We know it is not our connection, because it works fine on other websites. Could anyone tell me what is going on?
jetx
Check your site against gtmetrix results for a start. Can be a number of reasons, caching, image size, hosting issues (especially if it's shared on a cheap host). Hosting issues can also be related to the server hardware (ram especially). dalet62
I ran the gtmetrix against our site and we received an F in "remove query strings from static resources". Do you know what that means?
MarketingMedia.ca
Hi, The main reason for the site running slow is poor server performance. With the right server and set-up, your website can be as fast as https://gentecequipment.com which is on a mid grade server. Obviously, with a little more budget, the client could get even more speed. Christian
Norwegian Rat
You can start with upgrading your php-version to 7+ if you're still on 5. (If your PS-version is up for the 7, that is)
