REST API or PHP library?

Hello everyone,

 

I'm starting to develop a connector between a proprietary ERP and PS. I read documentation on web services in PS but there is very little about of REST.

 

I am having doubts whether to use the PHP library of PS or REST API + SimpleXML.

I would like to have your opinions on what would be the best way forward, since I have no experience with PS. The biggest doubts about REST are:

• Implement all library resources?
  
• Is stable?
  
• Is it more difficult to implement with REST + SImpleXML than with the library?
  

 

I'm using PS v1.7
