Define a default status

Hello,

I am developing a solution based on Prestashop (v 1.6.1.5) and am having a problem.

At the end of a purchase, the order runs out of a predefined status. Is there a way to be able to define a default status, so that the mail that is associated with that status is sent automatically?

Not sure what you mean by "the order runs out of a predefined status"?

 

Please elaborate on this and maybe provide examples of where you are in the code etc.

Sorry for not explain me correctly.

When a order is made, in the 'status' section (in orders), the records appear with the order made and the status of each transaction. By default, this order appears without any status. Therefore, no mail is sent to the customer once the order has been made. I would like to be able to default to a status at the end of the order, before starting to manage that transaction.
