Remove "quantity" selector from only some products' pages

Greetings, I hope someone can help with this topic.

 

My store is PS 1.6.1.8 and I'm using the Default-Bootstrap theme. www.coolmeatdirect.com.au

 

I would like to remove the "quantity" selector from the products detail page for only some products in my store.

 

I sell packaged meat, for which I have created combinations and don't want the "quantity" selector, and I also sell individual items like milk and cheese, for which there are no combinations and I need the "quantity" field.

 

I have read topic /332520 however it completely removes the "quantity" selector.

How can this be done?

Appreciate that you posted that link. However, that module does not do what I need.  It simply restricts maximum quantities depending on shopper group.

 

I'm still searching for an answer to this question!

I appreciate it doesn't remove the quantity selector for a given product, but it does let you restrict the maximum quantity for each customer group on a per-product basis:

For your combined product packs, you would set a maximum of 1 for each customer group and leave these fields blank for your individual products.

 

I'm not affiliated to the above module producer and suggested it because you would be able to acheive the same outcome in a cost effective manner.

 

If you really want the quantity selector removed, then you'll need to modify the backend so that there's a means of flagging a given product as having a restricted quantity. This will then make it possible for the front end to hide the quantity selector on the product page and on the first page of the checkout process (where it's also possible to change the quantity.
