Google Checkout Prestashop

I sell ladies dresses on my site with size and color being the two attributes required before adding to cart. I also have google checkout as an option on my site however when a user selects this option only the dress Name is passed into the cart. Leaving me to wonder what size and color they selected.

Prestashop Admin Order and Cart section also shows no record of the google checkout order, not sure if that is how its supposed to work. Even the stock doesnot get altered with purchase being made out.

Why are the size and colors not being passed to google checkout when they are clearly visible in the Prestashop cart and even the PayPal option works well.

This bug as been fixed in PrestaShop v1.4 Beta 2. I don't think it was fixed in PrestaShop v1.3.5 though. It may fixed in PrestaShop v1.3.6 if one is released. See the bug report here.

Thanks. So it's no longer an SSL issue?

No, Google Checkout still requires SSL. It was just fixed so that attributes are now passed to Google Checkout, whereas before they were not.

I have GC running fine without SSL except that it's not returning the order back to PS 1.32, same as described by the OP. I'm wondering if the new PS version will fix this, still without SSL.

It's not returning the order back because you aren't using SSL. There's nothing PrestaShop can do to fix that. Google Checkout's policy is that it will only return an order using SSL, except for "Sandbox" mode, which can't be used on a production site.

Thanks for the response Rocky. I'm working on implementing SSL in my shop. I'll post back if I make any progress with GC.
