{Solved} How to transfer PS1.6 to the root directory?

Set up my store with Prestashop 1.6 while keeping my original programe (OpenCart) working. I built PS inside a folder off the root directory. now I want to dump OC and switch to Prestshop but have come unstuck. I transferred all my PS files to the root but it seems it not as easy as this. I suspect some file are still pointing to the old directory like www.mystore/mystore.

Can anyone advise me how I can fix this and get my store working on the root?  Don't want to go live as it may confuse customers if I change it later.

Hi, 

you just need to update the shop url value.

 

If you wanna do it manually, just go to database, table (prexif) shop_url and change it there.

 

Alternativelly, you can move it back to the old folder, go under Seo & Urls menu and change it there, then move the shop to the new url.

You have to move the files first and then change the URL. 

Instead of manually change in ps_shop_url, It is better to change the URL from back office - Preferences - SEO & URLs tab so that the htaccess file will be updated correctly.
