jsmcody
Hello all, I am the half web developer/half IT professional/ half inventory specialist for Just Sofas and Mattresses in Illinois. I would love to use PrestaShop on our website to list all of our furniture. I need to know how to put those two "modules" in the header of our website instead of customers jumping through loops to get there. I guess my question is, I've got header.php which is called in all of the other php files (index, contact, etc) and I need to include the category and search to the left side, so that is load with all of the pages; not so the customer has to go to a different page to look at what we carry. I would also like to add the "featured products" to the index page. Is there a fairly simple way of doing this (maybe an include command)? If anyone can walk me through it, or give me some information about it, it would be greatly appreciated. Cody
haluzman
hmmm, i dont understand, as i know, everything you want, is already in prestashop. just log in to the admin section and set some preferencies in module sections, and tools. it is easy, just try it. jsmcody
I understand I can add these modules, but I want to put the search and category modules in another webpage so I can make our website flow better.
Peter Wilson
Hi jsmcody, I don't believe that functionality is available just yet via the Back Office. I've asked the dev team to look into this; they may not get a chance to check it out until Monday, however. Sorry for any inconvenience in the meantime. jsmcody
It really isn't a feature I'd like in the backoffice. I just need to know what to hack apart to put the sidebar that prestashop uses into another non-prestashop page.
Peter Wilson
Right, that is what I was referring to, in a round-about way. : I'm not a programmer so I can't give you that info directly. The dev team will be able to give you guidance on which part of the code to modify to make that happen, but it will probably be after the weekend. Or, even better, a fellow PrestaShop user will intervene in the meantime with the answer.
