Unable to access Modules page after updating a module

Hello,

 

Every time I attempt to access the Modules page, I get a blank page with the following:

 

[PrestaShop] Fatal error in module AdminController:
Call to a member function assign() on a non-object

 

 

It seems like this happened after updating the Google Sitemaps module.

A screenshot is attached. I'm running PrestaShop™ 1.5.6.0.

Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this?

to fix this error you can go to your FTP service and remove this directory: /modules/gsitemap

then you will be able to upload module once again

I manually removed the directory via FTP but am still getting the error when I go to the Modules page..

so, are you sure that case started to appear after update of gsitemap module only? maybe you updated some other plugins?

Right before that I had generated a new Google shopping data feed via the Google Merchant Center module but the Modules page only seemed to stop working after I attempted to update the Google Sitemap module.

Think it may be solved..

 

Renamed this module directory "shoppingfluxexport" and the Modules page is back.

Not really sure what happened in the first place though.

in prestashop 1.7
i have same issue. i can't change the position of module because of this error.
