How to override a module class

I have module for example:

/modules/menu/classes/main.php

I change something in this file so I want override by add this file into:

override/modules/menu/main.php

In this file I changed:

class mainOverride extends main

And then delete file from:

/cache/class_index.php

And this is not working. Why ?

you cannot.  you can only override a modules main file, which in your case would be /modules/menu/menu.php
