how to upgrade from 1.6.10 to 1.7.0

There is no way to upgrade. The only possibility is to export all your data an re-import. As PS 1.7.0.X is full of bugs, I suggest you to wait for to upgrade till PS 1.7. has version 1. or 2 (1.7.1. or PS 1.7.2.)

 

PS 1.7. is not better than 1.6., which is stable and nearly bugless. Some features are removed from PS 1.7. (advanced stock management, product condition), PS 1.7. needs an special server configuration.
